ADMINISTRATIVE EXPERIENCE

 

Acting HOD, Human Physiology                                                    2021-2023

Administrative duties overseeing the day to day running of the Department of Human Physiology, ensuring students’ results are ready for senate approval, Chaired the departmental committee for Medical and Dental Council and National Universities Commission accreditation, recommendation of staff for promotion and lecturing of both Medical and Bachelors (B.Sc.) degree students.

 

Acting Director, Community-Based experience and services (COBES) 2018 – 2021

Coordinating and ensuring Medical and Nursing Science students are integrated in the rural community in 200, 300 and 500 Level Community health posting. Provision of logistics and coordination of seminars, carrying out of community project and the presentation of same to the College of Health Sciences.

Associate Dean 2018- 2020

Assisting the dean in the day to day running of the administrative and acdemic activities in the faculties. I was directly in charge oflectures and examination timetable of the faculty. Representing the dean in the university’s committees and statutory meetings when delegated and any other duties assigned by the dean.

Departmental co-ordinator SIWES programme 2011- 2020

Coordinate and organise students of physiology department for appropriate placement for the six (6) months industrial attachment to enable them learn skills relevant to their course of study. Coordinating report presentation at the end of their industrial training.

Advise students on the course to register based on their ability and performance at the end of every session. Cousel students on morals and character putting into consideration their background and area of strength and weakness.

Teaching various modules and examination of 200 and 300 level Medical students. I coordinate and supervise.

Teaching of Post graduate M.Sc. and Ph.D. students. Currently supervising Six M.Sc. and Two Ph.D.

dissertations.

I am responsible for assisting final year students to design research projects during undergraduate study. I supervise their participation and problem-solving skills during these researches. I am responsible for supporting students; learning and development through the development of lecture materials (lecture power-point slides and notes), assessing, facilitating and marking students’ seminars, presentations and examination scripts. I engage in the design of effective teaching methods, materials, assessment and feedback for each module. I design workbooks for subject study that promote development of cognitive skills. I ensure administrative and academic support for tasks such as field trip and peer review assessment I engage in physiological research and provide statistical expertise in the Physiology Laboratory (cardivascular respiratory unit) domiciled in Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, Delta State University, Abraka, Delta State.
